Surrounded by rock salt, 650 feet underground, the old mine chambers provide a consistently cool and dry climate that’s perfect for long-term storage. There are old films and trailers, props and costumes, documents, etc., some of them on display. This is the front page of the New York Herald from April 16, 1865, dominated by stories on President Lincoln’s death.

Incidentally, I wonder how many people would read any part of a newspaper if they were printed like this today – the text must have been in 5- or 6-pt font.
