I recently picked up a fountain pen and some ink samples, but using one color at a time in the fountain pen is a slow way to try the inks, so I got a cheap glass dip pen that I liked the look of. It’s pretty cool to watch the ink ‘climb’ the grooves in the pen if you dip it a little ways into the ink and hold it steady. My paper towels for cleaning the pen between inks quickly got to look like a tie-dye specimen.
