Princeton has an annual fireworks display during the university’s reunion weekend, and I’ve never photographed fireworks, so I went this year.

The first few shots I took were slightly out of focus; I tried focusing on the moon when I set the camera up, but that’s a lot easier to do on my macro than this lens, so I adjusted it further after the show began. I like the effect the soft focus created on this shot, though, like the sparkle is a shower of droplets of light.
